Standing With Feed My Starving Children in Ellisville
Crystal Martin, DDS, believes that supporting a healthy community goes well beyond the dental chair, and even beyond Ellisville. That’s why we are proud to support Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), a well-respected Christian nonprofit dedicated to packing and sending nutrient-rich meals to hungry children in underserved parts of the world. This truly matters to us because of the mission itself: providing hope, nourishment, and community action.
On October 16, 2025, from 6:15-8:30 pm, our office is volunteering to pack meals for Feed My Starving Children Gateway Mobile Pack. Just as we do every October, we invite patients to join us in supporting this amazing organization and its mission.
What Feed My Starving Children Does
FMSC organizes hands-on MobilePack events and ongoing fundraising to prepare millions of meals each year. Volunteers from schools, civic groups, and local businesses gather to pack meals designed specifically for malnourished children in over 70 countries. Their mission combines compassion with a massive coordination effort, offering a powerful way for communities like ours to make a global impact.
Other Ways We’ve Supported This Mission
Crystal Martin, DDS, has also backed the cause in a meaningful way through our athletic sneaker drive fundraiser.
We’ve asked patients and neighbors to donate gently worn and new sneakers, with proceeds directed to Feed My Starving Children via the GotSneakers program. We have loved collecting smiles and sneakers, and seeing firsthand how small actions can translate into meals for vulnerable children.
We believe in giving beyond our office walls, whether that means a donation, spreading awareness, or joining a pack event in our region. Supporting these efforts reflects our belief that your smile matters, but you matter more.
Feed My Starving Children Events in 2026
As of this writing, FMSC has announced two large-scale pack events near St. Louis in 2026, including:
- “Feed the Need STL” MobilePack: April 8–12, 2026, at Queeny Park Recreation Complex
- North County MobilePack: July 10–11, 2026, at Lutheran Church of the Atonement in Florissant
We will proudly support these events and hope many community members will turn out to help. These events bring our community together in an extraordinary way, by providing hands-on volunteer opportunities that directly help feed hungry children around the world.
Why This Matters to Us
At Crystal Martin, DDS, we know that when families are well-nourished, children thrive in school and parents can focus on their own wellness. That virtuous cycle aligns perfectly with our commitment to compassionate care. Even small efforts, like a sneaker drop or a few hours at a packing event, can make a real difference.
Plus, volunteering together fosters the same sense of trust, warmth, and friendship that defines our dental practice. It’s an extension of who we are: a team that checks in with each other and with our neighbors, building bonds rooted in kindness and shared purpose.
